Happenings on the Way to Heaven

Kathryn van der Pol is a writer, teacher, and editor. Currently, she writes a weekly column on the intersection of her personal journey, history, and faith called Happenings on the Way to Heaven. It is shared privately with her followers.

In addition, Kathryn hosts events and classes by invitation only at Texas Heritage Event Center. These events focus on key people and events from American and ancient history.

She also serves on the founding board of Heritage Classical Academy (Heritageed.org), a charter school in Houston and is the Ride Director for Ready2Roll Cycling (Ready2RollCycling.com), a bicycling training series.

She graduated from Rice University in the Classics. She taught school for 24 years. Following that, she owned and operated an auto repair shop many years. Where ever she is and whatever she's doing, you can be sure pen and paper are at hand's length.
